The midterm meeting of NanoBAK2 “Innovative and energy-efficient proofing/cooling technology based on ultrasonic humidification for high quality bakery products” has taken place in Nantes on 18th-19th of November, 2014 at the premisses of project partner BPA Bakery.
During the Midterm Meeting the project partners had the opportunity to visit the production facility of BPA in Nantes and the already installed UltraBAK technology prototypes in the retarded proofer and the proofer for parbaked goods. In the afternoon the project partners went to BPA Angers to see the MagnaCool system in which UltraBAK technology was implemented to optimize the cooling stage for hot baked products. The European Commission officer Ms. Cathy Eccles has been welcomed by general coordinator Mr. Frank Bakker. Project partner TTZ gave a summary of the first year and overview regarding the last technical meeting. Management issues were discussed, concerning WP2-4, WP 7 LCA, and WP 8 Marketing and dissemination.
